The Master of Science in Product Management program is intended for all students who aspire to build the skills necessary for success as product managers. The program targets professionals seeking to build real-world product management skills, transition into product roles, or differentiate themselves in a competitive job market.
This interdisciplinary MS program offers a flexible curriculum combining foundational knowledge with targeted skills in key functional areas. The degree consists of four core courses. Three of the core courses cover fundamental concepts across core product management functions. The fourth core course is a 1-credit experiential course offered by each participating college that gives students the opportunity to practice skills relevant to their career goals in product management. Toward the end of their studies, students complete a 3- or 4-semester-hour experiential capstone course to gain hands-on experience in the discipline. Co-op is available and optional for this degree program.
At the time of admission, students choose from one of four concentrations focusing on business, design, product growth, and digital product management. Students also have the option to complete their program with electives. Students are admitted to the college associated with their concentration (or with the electives option), and their degree will be awarded by that college. The concentrations and electives option are associated with the following colleges:
- Design-Driven Product Management—College of Arts, Media and Design
- Product Analytics—College of Professional Studies
- Product Innovation Management—D’Amore-McKim School of Business
- Technical Product Management—College of Engineering
- Electives Option—College of Professional Studies
Students will follow all policies associated with their home college.
