The MSCP program requires a grade of B or better in all courses. Practicum and internship courses require a grade of Satisfactory (S). Grades of B– and lower or Unsatisfactory (U) are inconsistent with this policy. If received, students will be required to pay for the course again, repeat the course, and earn a grade of B or better or a grade of Satisfactory (S) in clinical practice courses.

If a student enrolls in Practicum in Counseling Psychology (CAEP 8401) two times, the student may only choose 6 semester hours for electives.

In rare cases where the student has chosen a concentration and enrolls in CAEP 8401 two times, the successful completion of Practicum in Counseling Psychology (CAEP 8401) for the second time takes priority. The student then must either forgo the concentration to complete the program with 60 semester hours or may choose to enroll in an additional course to complete the program plus concentration for a total of 63 semester hours.

Concentrations or Electives Option

A concentration is not required. Students may complete electives option in lieu of a concentration.
