The Italian minor focuses on two outcomes: developing students’ linguistic proficiency and broadening their insights into Italian culture so that students may engage in meaningful interactions with Italian speakers throughout the world. The communication skills and transcultural awareness that students acquire throughout the course of the minor are designed to provide preparation for a wide range of opportunities and experiences, both in and beyond the classroom.
Complete all courses listed below unless otherwise indicated. A total of five courses are required. A maximum of two courses of transfer credits, including transferable courses taken abroad, may count toward the five courses in the minor.
