The minor in pharmaceutical sciences is open to all majors at the university with the exception of Bouvé PharmD and BS Pharmaceutical Sciences students. The minor is designed for undergraduate students from a variety of disciplines who wish to explore key aspects of the pharmaceutical sciences, including pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, and pharmaceutics. It is comprised of three required courses and one elective for a minimum of 15 hours. Students who believe that additional exposure to these topics will integrate effectively with their major (particularly students in biology and chemistry majors, as well as those in chemical and bioengineering programs and health sciences) are encouraged to pursue this minor.
Successful completion of the minor requires that all coursework be completed with a minimum grade of D and courses may not be taken as pass/fail. The minor consists of three required courses and one elective course. Up to two courses from other major and minor requirements may apply to this minor.
